Dragon Songs at Twilight

Hanging from a window
don’t need a crystal
ball just a train
schedule for that
old northern railroad
up into the mountains
selling seashells
and playing music
with the wind and
strings-

Waitresses can be a
tough reality to deal
with the food is friendly
as is the staff, but
there are no refills here
and scrambled eggs are
not on the menu- no
face to hide sleeping
in Bucksnort on a run
to the shore- why
are there no songs tonight of

southern railroad lines- Dusty
breathing dreams out
in the night of
ocean breezes and
french couple
firewood
incidents
and a lone biker
heading to a
place named for
a fragrance crushed
and turned into oil.

On the road so long
the best part of
every journey is
a soul on fire
dancing
bones
rocks
shells
wheels rolling
down the road
on the road again
rest stops don’t
make good nights
long long until
the dawning.

Red moon dreams,
and giant cloud
dreams- selling
paintings of doors
on doors,
on windows of
windows,
faces we’ll never
see again and
symbols reiterating
you are my lady-
you set my soul
on fire-
broke down car
on the road
behind us-
old roads
new roads-
we love
concurrencies-
how many at once?
how many total?

12 Houses- leading
logically to
12 planets, and
symbols keep on
reiterating,
bluebird
beggar
thief
highway songs
crows
grackels
and these
beautiful
yellow birds
three singers
seven triangles
seven colors

Red
Moon

Orange
Sunset

Yellow
trees

Green
birds

Blue
ducks

Indigo
Hotel

Violet
Storm

Weather reports and dates being
compiled

any window
any day
sun shines
rain falling
muddy
rivers
and
crazy
rest
stops
day
and night-
night
and day.

Dreaming hiking
graffiticlouds
and crazy cowboys
and mother earth
lounging in
brick red outline
direction waiting
with keys to the
rain- weathermaps
and duck hunting
coats repurposed,
what a surprise
that morning
glory was
and that
peace
lily
and the shark
and
horseshoe
crab.

Looking for a picture
now- painting.
Two monks
contemplating
ghosts
and
yahweh
plans
and yahweh
doesn’t
always
have the
best
god
damn
plans,
is that
a tangerine-
is it ripe or
a trick like
rust looking
like gold
watering holes
in the land
of the last
born coyote
man!

Something
familiar
something
far
far
away
in another galaxy
groovy green?

La

I’ve got
water
and
I’ve got
ozone!

zu zu mamou
rivers
many
rivers
last
dancing
muddy
river
blues
richland
holyland
roads
betwixt
the two
-east
to west
-west
to east.

The threnody machine
feeling hearts
across
space
time
distance
love
satellite
heart
robotic
parts.

It is a puzzle
of seven, and
that is the koan
as well, but the
monk is signing

songs of
rain and the
box that
everything
is contained
within
it is a wish
a first time
who would
believe
the keys to
the rain
came in a jug
holding a kiss
like the zodiac
keys- crippled
beggars and songs
of their hours-
don’t run
anyway
but kind-
St. Insitu

A twenty one piece

puzzle divided
into three
triangles-
quantum mechanics
come into play-
as does Copenhagen-

Triangles-

Never let ya go!
like some people
only dream of-
but what do you really
expect me to do?

To let the dragon
do all the singing?

Running down old
broken creek
footsteps
church
running
crayon
gloss
fields
forever-
yes-

Brother Tim-
said he had nothing
but respect for me
drinking all those
punches
-many rivers to
cross
Pigeon river
James
and
sounds
drifting
on
Somebody
tell
me what I”m looking for-
I am just a pile of things
as soon as your battery is about
dead-

One Hot August Night-
Over the plains dragged here-
a new face-
went over the flats-
I miss my friends
and their dancing feet-
flats- skychurch music
street fighting man from
Swords Creek Elvis the King showed
up like ancient dinosaur
rhythms- dirty & sweet-
neanderthal
homo Sapiens
float like a car
a diamond
a snake
a shoot & a ladder-
gong long sound blasting!

Songs of Saint
Insitu
the saint of the right
proposition- a
dirty sweet halo-

I listen to the old
media machine turned
into the late groovy
radio satellite heart
vibe- mirrorball disco
tech chic-
Year of the Dragon?
